June Newsletter Article For The Pheasant Ward

We have had so many blessings recently. We feel so grateful. Last week was the first week all of our books we photographed passed the audit process in Salt Lake City. We celebrated! We have had successes with our books passing but not all of them in the same week. We have graduated from calling our Supervisor once a day for help to our Supervisor calling us once a week to see how things are going. Of course, the credit goes to the Lord for answering our prayers to help us take the best photographs we can for this wonderful sacred work. All things are possible with the Lord’s help. We love our work and the people we work with in the Archives. They are great people to work with.

We have been having very rewarding experiences with missionary work with our Ward family here. You should see the beautiful homemade birthday cards one of our members is making for our birthday visits. She and her husband have been coming to church pretty regularly since they reactivated. They have many health struggles but receive blessings for health and strength now when needed. Her face is beginning to shine with the light of Christ in her eyes. We got to do lessons on 3 Nephi11:8 and Alma 32:28 last week. One of our active members was struggling with her faith. It is hard when you are the only member of the church in your family and your children and family are wanting you to come back to their church. She was in severe pain from a back injury and we were out doing our birthday visits right when she needed someone to talk to. She decided to come to Sacrament meeting the next day and her husband came with her. He is not a member of our church but he has been her support to keep her faith through all of this. We were so grateful that the Lord has given us such wonderful experiences to serve others in their hour of need.

Elder Carmack did a great lesson on the Plan ofSalvation at FHE at one of our focus families for the Rescue Monday night. Miracles happen every day in the mission. We are so grateful for the great blessing it is to us and our families that we can serve a mission at this time in our lives. We know this church is true. We know Thomas S. Monson is a true Prophet of God. We love listening to scriptures, conference talks, and hymns and children’s songbook every day while we work. They bring such a special Spirit to our sacred work in the Archives. We know the many blessings we are experiencing and the lives that are touching ours are not mere coincidences. The Lord has a plan and we are each his servants in carrying out His plan. The Book of Mormon is true. It stands as a witness for itself to those that are seeking with a true heart and mind to know it is true. We love and miss each of you and pray that the blessings of the Lord are showered upon you. We say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
